The artistic practice of Sara Dietrich (*1986 in Rostock) is characterized by a site specific approach that picks up issues of spatial processes and constellations. The focus of her installations lays on finding out the relations and connections in everyday's environment and developing models with the attempt to make them aesthetically perceptible for the visitor. By preferring non-material media like video and sound, the artist intervenes in the architectonic structure and in the context of the spatial situation – intensively studying possibilities of temporary interventions in everyday's places and settings in which private and public layers are overlapping and intertwining. As different as the places and situations are, as vary appears the outer shape of the artistic works. The spatial context – that is affected by the natural lighting conditions and natural sounds of the surrounding – and the artistic work influence each other and make the ephemeral realm, the space "in-between" perceptible.
